Karnataka Teacher Thrashes Class 4 Student To Death; Throws Him From 1st Floor

Gadag (Karnataka): A guest faculty at the government-run Model Higher Primary School reportedly thrashed a class 4 student to death in the Hadlin village of the Gadag district of Karnataka. The accused teacher has been identified as Muthappa.

According to reports, the student was thrown from the first floor of the school building after being struck with an iron rod.

Bharath Barker has been identified as the deceased student. Geetha Barker, Bharath’s mother, who works as a teacher on campus, tried in vain to dissuade the irate guest teacher.

The boy was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to injuries. Geetha Barker also sustained severe injuries and was treated at KIMS Hospital.

However, Muthappa is absconding. A case was opened, and a probe to find him has begun.
