Kid Critical, 2 Injured After Speeding Car Hits Them in Delhi

New Delhi: Three kids were severely injured after they were struck by a speeding automobile in Roop Nagar in North Delhi on Sunday. Police were informed by the doctors that two kids, ages 10 and 4, were out of danger. The third kid, who is 6 years old, was admitted to a nearby hospital and kept under observation. The kids were struck by the car when they were standing on the sidewalk.

The entire episode was captured in a CCTV camera whose footage has now gone viral online. The driver apparently lost control of his car. When they observed this, the locals and those in the area hurried to the scene and transported the kids to the hospital.

According to authorities, the incident happened at around 9 AM, and the accused driver has been taken into custody. The police claim that Gajender, a 30-year-old inhabitant of Pratap Nagar, lost control of his car near the Lilawati school, according to police, and rammed into the three children who were standing on the footpath.

An FIR has been filed under sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police seized the car.
