Kolkata: Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari was suspended from the winter session by the Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay on Tuesday for interrupting proceedings of the House.
The West Bengal Assembly witnessed noisy scenes as Adhikari rushed to the well of the House to allege that the Speaker, instead of calling the BJP MLAs who joined TMC as Trinamul MLAs, continued to call them as BJP MLAs.
Later the Speaker Bandyopadhyay alleged that Adhikari had misbehaved with him and said he would be suspended during the remaining days of the winter session of the Assembly.
The Bengal BJP MLAs staged a walkout to protest against the decision of the Speaker.
