Manish Is A Gentleman, His Arrest Is Dirty Politics: CM Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi: After Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI for allegedly being involved in a liquor scam, CM Arvind Kejriwal slammed the investigating agency. Kejriwal said the arrest of his deputy is dirty politics and asserted that he was innocent.

“He is a gentleman. He rejuvenated the government schools in Delhi. Good people are being jailed across the country and people who have looted billions from banks are their (the BJP’s) friends. People are watching and they will respond to this. We met his wife, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis. Manish used to take care of his wife since their son is studying abroad,” Arvind Kejriwal told the media outside Sisodia’s home.

“Manish is innocent. His arrest is dirty politics. His arrest has angered people quite a lot. People are watching everything. People now understand everything and will give a reply to this. It will boost our spirit and our struggle will only get stronger,” Kejriwal said in a tweet in Hindi.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday evening in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped excise policy for 2021-22.
