MP Engineer Found With 232% Disproportionate Assets; 10 Luxury Cars and Rs 30 Lakh TV Recovered During Raid

Bhopal:The Lokayukta police in Madhya Pradesh raided the house of Hema Meena, an assistant engineer in Bhopal, on suspicion of disproportionate assets. During the raid, the police recovered a smart TV worth Rs 30 lakh, several luxury vehicles, and over 50 foreign-breed dogs. They also found a roti-making machine, which was used to feed the dogs. Meena’s monthly salary was only Rs 30,000, but officials found that her assets were 232% disproportionate.

The raid was initiated after the Lokayukta received a complaint against Meena in 2020. When the police arrived at her 40-room bungalow, her guards initially stopped them, but the team was eventually allowed inside. Meena was detained, and the police seized her mobile phone.

In addition to the luxury vehicles and smart TV, the police found over 60 cows of different breeds, government equipment worth lakhs, and agricultural equipment at Meena’s farmhouse. The police also seized a walkie-talkie that Meena used to communicate with her co-workers and seniors.

Meena has been employed as an assistant engineer in charge with the Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation on a contractual basis since 2011. The police suspect that other officers may be involved in the matter and are continuing their investigation.
