PM Modi Addresses Kashi Telugu Sangamam-Ganga Pushkara Aradhana

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Kashi Telugu Sangamam-Ganga Pushkara Aradhana held in Varanasi today through video conferencing. The Kashi Telugu Sangamam, according to the PM, is the synthesis of India’s ancient civilisation, culture, and traditions.

Kashi Tamil Sangamam and Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam, he claimed, have also lately been organised. The Amrit Kaal is a celebration of India’s diversity and is a time when nationalism is at its height. The historical ties between Kashi and Telugu country were emphasised by Modi. On this occasion, he also paid tribute to notable saints from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The relationship between the Telugu and Kashi people, which dates back generations, is, according to the prime minister, a reflection of Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat. Kashi, Modi continued, is developing quickly. The Varanasi community, which the Prime Minister professed trust in, will warmly welcome the distinguished Telugu visitors to Kashi during the Kashi Telugu Sangam.

A BJP MP spoke on the programme as well. On February 22nd of this month, Varanasi hosted the start of the 12-day Kashi Telugu Sangam, which will last until May 3rd. It takes place once every 12 years. To pray to their ancestors, pilgrims from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh travel to Kashi. This year’s 12-day pilgrimage is anticipated to draw more than 1.5 lakh visitors from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
