Port Moresby: Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced the second leg of his three-nation tour with a warm reception in Papua New Guinea. During his visit, he was greeted with great respect as Prime Minister James Marape humbly touched his feet, symbolizing a gesture of reverence. After a successful trip to Japan, PM Narendra Modi embarked on his journey to Papua New Guinea. PM Modi’s visit to Papua New Guinea comes after his participation in the G7 summit in Japan. On Monday, he will co-host the third summit of the Forum for India–Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) alongside Prime Minister James Marape. PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the attendance of all 14 Pacific Island Countries (PIC) at this significant summit, emphasizing its importance.
