Ayodhya Ram Temple Abuzz with ‘Rangotsav’ Festivities on Holi

Ayodhya: Devotees celebrated ‘Rangotsav’ in Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on Monday, marking the occasion of Holi. The event, which commenced on the first ‘Rangbhari Ekadashi’ after the pran pratishtha ceremony at the Ram temple, saw devotees thronging to Hanumangarhi temple to apply colours to the deity. This year, Ayodhya, the sacred city of Uttar Pradesh, is hosting a grand celebration of Holi to honour Lord Ram.

On Monday, devotees gathered in large numbers at the Ram Temple to seek darshan of Ram Lalla and partake in the festivities. Singing devotional songs and smearing each other with vibrant colours, they immersed themselves in the joyous atmosphere inside the temple premises.

Additionally, the nationwide festival of Holi, slated for March 25, is preceded by the customary Holika Dahan ritual symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Amidst the jubilant celebrations, traditional sweets are exchanged, fostering unity and camaraderie amongst revelers who radiate the essence of joy and affection.

Undoubtedly, the entire nation is embraced by the spirited fervour of Holi.
