Commissionerate Police Busts Arms Smuggling Syndicate, Nabs Kingpin From Bihar

Cuttack: In a significant breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police’s special squad has arrested the alleged kingpin of an arms smuggling syndicate operating in Cuttack. Identified as Golden Singh, along with his associate Wasim Khan, the duo was captured in Bihar’s Munger area. The police seized three pistols and two live bullets from Singh’s possession.

Earlier, authorities had detained four individuals suspected of involvement in arms trafficking. Subsequent investigations revealed that the firearms originated from Munger, Bihar. A specialized team was immediately dispatched to Munger, where, with the assistance of Bihar’s Special Task Force (STF), Golden Singh was apprehended.

Furthermore, Wasim Khan, hailing from Cuttack’s Kesharpur area, was also taken into custody. Cuttack’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kanwar Vishal Singh, disclosed, “Following the earlier dismantling of the local crime syndicate, our investigations traced a connection to Munger, Bihar. Through collaborative efforts with the Bihar STF, we successfully arrested Golden Singh, the primary supplier of firearms to Cuttack and neighbouring districts.”
