Seema Haider to File Defamation Case Against Neighbour Who Called Sachin ‘Jhingur’

Lucknow: Seema Haider is going to take a firm legal stance against her neighbour, Mithilesh Bhati. In a recent viral video on social media, Bhati referred to Seema’s husband, Sachin Meena, using derogatory terms such as ‘lappu’ and ‘jhingur’.

Seema’s lawyer, AP Singh, affirmed that Mithilesh will face the consequences for her offensive comments, as they plan to file a defamation case.

The lawyer emphasized that in a diverse nation like ours, insults based on attributes like skin colour and appearance will not be tolerated. The intention is to pursue legal action against Mithilesh for her inappropriate remarks.

In response, Mithilesh expressed regret, stating that her words were spoken in the heat of the moment and not intended as insults. She drew attention to the fact that similar terms are commonly used in the local context, like people calling her ‘lappi’. She clarified that using such words doesn’t define her identity.
