Dinner Party Photos with Mahua Moitra Taken Out of Context: Shashi Tharoor

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor addressed online trolls on Friday, hitting out at their actions following the circulation of photos depicting him with Trinamool Congress’s Mahua Moitra at what seemed to be a dinner gathering.

Tharoor dismissed the trolls’ actions as “low-level politics” and emphasized that his primary focus was serving the public.

In a press briefing, Tharoor said, “It was her birthday party, and there were 15 people present. My sister was also invited, and she attended the event. However, some individuals intentionally cropped out others from the photos and presented it as a clandestine private meeting.”

Tharoor downplayed the issue and said, “I don’t give much importance to these trolls, not even as much as the media sometimes bestows upon them. I won’t be giving this matter any further significance. Our priority is working for the people.”
