Jharkhand Student’s Mysterious Death in Italy: Family Seeks Govt Aid in Repatriation

Ranchi: A pall of grief has descended upon a family in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district after their son, Ram Raut, was found dead in Italy under mysterious circumstances. The 25-year-old, who had travelled to pursue an MBA degree, was discovered lifeless in the washroom of another house on January 2nd.

The unfortunate incident came to light when Raut’s parents attempted to convey New Year’s greetings but received no response. Concerned, they contacted the accommodation owner, who revealed that Raut had been discovered lifeless in another house’s washroom.

Upon learning of their son’s demise, the grief-stricken family sought assistance from senior government officials and public representatives in Jharkhand to repatriate his body.

Addressing the situation, Ananya Mittal, Deputy Commissioner of West Singhbhum, confirmed being informed of Raut’s death. Mittal promptly notified the Home Department and the Migration cell of Jharkhand for necessary actions. He assured ongoing monitoring of developments in the case and maintained regular communication with the bereaved family.
