2 Trainee Pilots Injured As Army Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing in Bihar

Gaya: Two trainee pilots escaped with minor injuries after a microlight aircraft belonging to the Indian Army’s Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) experienced a technical malfunction and made an emergency landing in a field on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 9:15 am in Paharpur village, located within the Bodh Gaya sub-division of Gaya district.

“The aircraft encountered a malfunction during a training sortie, resulting in a loud noise. The pilots managed to safely land the aircraft in a nearby field,” informed a police officer.

Both pilots onboard sustained minor injuries. Local villagers promptly assisted the pilots and alerted the authorities, including the police and the OTA.

The injured pilots were transported back to the OTA base camp for medical evaluation. Thankfully, the incident caused no harm to civilians or property on the ground.
