WATCH | UP Youths Were Live On Facebook Minutes Before Plane Crash

Lucknow: Minutes before the tragic Yeti Airlines plane crash in Pokhara, Nepal, 4 of the passengers, all from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, went live on Facebook to document their flight experience.

One of them screams, “Mauj Kar Di” (it’s a lot of fun), as the 1:30-minute video pans down to the Pokhara town below. The phone camera also captures Sonu Jaiswal (29).

However, 58 seconds into the video, the plane is seen making a sharp left turn before crashing and catching fire. The phone’s camera caught images of the leaping flames surrounding it for the next 30 seconds.

Sonu’s brother Rajat Jaiswal, who claimed that Sonu was live on the social media site from the moment he boarded, confirmed that Sonu was in the video. As he was live-streaming on Facebook, Sonu Jaiswal made the video private and only accessible to his friends.

Along with 68 other passengers, these four travellers from Ghazipur’s Baresar were among the five Indians who were killed in the deadly crash.

After performing puja at the Pashupatinath temple, Sonu Jaiswal (29), Anil Rajbhar (28), Vishal Sharma (23), and Abhishek Singh Kushwaha (23) flew to Kathmandu on January 13. They were headed to Pokhara for paragliding.

While landing at the Pokhara airport around 11 AM on Sunday, the Yeti Airlines aircraft crashed on the bank of the Seti River. There were a total of 68 passengers and four crew members. Five of these passengers were Indians.
