2 Gold Looter Cops Arrested at Delhi’s IGI Airport

New Delhi: Two police head constables posted at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport were arrested on Sunday on charges of looting gold worth Rs 50 lakh.

These two policemen were part of the special operations squad at the international airport. Claiming that it was part of their investigation, they had allegedly taken away all the gold carried by some labourers, who had arrived from Muscat and Qatar.

Following a complaint lodged by these labourers, both police personnel were suspended, and a case was filed against the duo. They were arrested on Sunday.

An investigation is on to find out whether these labourers were smuggling gold from abroad or not.
