3 Of Family Including 5-Yr-Old Child Killed As Car, Truck Collide In Koraput

Koraput: Three members of a family including a 5-year-old child died as a car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a tanker truck on NH-26 near Pungar village under Pottangi police limits in Koraput district, this morning.

The identities of the deceased were yet to be established.

According to reports, the incident took place around 6 am when the trio was heading towards Visakhapatnam from Jeypore in the ill-fated vehicle. The three died on the spot under the impact of the collision.

On being informed, Pottangi police reached the spot and recovered the bodies for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
