Heavy Rainfall To Lash 11 Odisha Districts Today: IMD Issues Yellow Warning

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) here predicted on Tuesday that north Odisha districts are likely to experience widespread rainfall during the next 24 hours, while moderate rain is likely at many places in south Odisha today.

The IMD issued a yellow alert for heavy to very heavy rain in 11 Odisha districts on Tuesday. These districts include Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Deogarh, and Keonjhar. At the same time, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Cuttack Nabarangpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Dhenkanal districts are likely to experience light rain today.

The low-pressure area is very likely to move toward north Madhya Pradesh during the next two days.
