Bhubaneswar: As many as four persons including a mother-son duo, were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Odisha today.
Reportedly, two deaths were reported from the Nalco area in Angul district, two others died following a lightning strike in the Borigumma area of Koraput district, sources said.
In the first incident, two women were killed when lightning struck them at Balaramprasad village in Angul district. The incident took place when the two women were doing some work near a mutt, located close to the ash pond of Nalco in Angul district.
In another incident, a woman and her son died after a lightning strike in the Borigumma area. The victims were working in the field at Anchala village under Borigumma block in Koraput district when the incident took place.
