4 UP Female Constables Suspended for Dancing at Ram Janmabhoomi

Lucknow: Four women police constables were suspended by UP police when a video clip of their dancing became viral on social media. All 4 female police constables were posted at the Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya. They were seen to be dancing to the tune of a popular Bhojpuri song ‘patli kamariya tori’.

According to UP police sources, they were not in uniform in the video that shows them dancing, which resulted in their suspension.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muniraj G had ordered an inquiry into the issue of the viral video clip of dancing policewomen. Based on an inquiry report filed by Additional SP (security) on Thursday, constables Kavita Patel, Kamini Kushwaha, Kashish Sahni, and Sandhya were suspended from jobs by the SSP.
