According to Pakistan media, at least eight armed terrorists stormed into the Karachi police chief’s office. These terrorists included suicide bombers. Three terrorists were killed in the gun battle while two blew themselves up.

According to reports from local media, hand grenades and automatic guns were used by the terrorists. Following the attack, the Karachi Police and Pakistan Rangers cordoned off the area.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan took responsibility for the attack. Since the ceasefire agreement between the TTP and the government broke down last year in November, this terror outfit has started attacking security forces and even mosques and markets in Pakistan.
