8 Students Die By Suicide After Failing To Clear Intermediate Exam In Telangana

Telangana: As many as eight students in Telangana ended their lives by suicide in separate incidents during the last 24 hours over falieur in intermediate board exams.

The incidents were reported from various parts of Telangana during the last 24 hours.

In one instance, a 17-year-old second-year girl student studying in a private junior college died by suicide at her residence in Hastinapuram, after finding out that her younger sister had cleared her exams.

In another instance, a 17-year-old boy from Tummalla Basti in Khairatabad died by suicide on Tuesday evening after finding out that he had failed the second-year exams. He was a student of a private junior college in Narayanaguda and had failed two subjects, the Saifabad police said.

In a third instance, a 16-year-old girl student who failed three subjects attempted to take her life at her residence in Manikonda, under the Raidurgam police limits. Although she was rushed to a hospital, she died during treatment on Wednesday morning, the police said.

Other deaths were of a second-year boy student in Neredmet, another boy student from Patancheru and a second-year girl student from Khairatabad, the police said.
