Amazon to Invest Rs 12,297 Cr More in India

Amazon.com has decided to invest $15 billion (around Rs. 12,297 crore) more in India. This was stated by the CEO of the company Andy Jassy during his interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday.

With this additional investment, the total investment of this e-commerce giant in India will rise to $26 billion (around Rs. 21,314 crore) by 2030.

Modi and Jassy discussed about support for Indian startups, creating jobs, enabling exports, digitization, and empowering individuals and small businesses to compete globally, said a blog post of Amazon.

In May, Amazon’s cloud computing unit Amazon Web Services (AWS) declared to invest Rs 1.06 trillion ($12.9 billion) in India by the end of 2030.
