Arvind Kejriwal Takes Vipassana Meditation Break from Politics

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that he is taking a break from public life to go for a session of Vipassana meditation. He will return back on January 1. He advised all to practice it at least once.

“Today, I am going for Vipassana meditation. I try and go for it once a year. I will return on January 1. Hundreds of years back, Lord Buddha had taught this knowledge. Have you practised Vipassana? If not, you should definitely do it once. It has a lot of physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Good luck to all,” he said in a tweet in Hindi on Saturday.

Vipassana is an ancient Indian meditation technique during which a practitioner abstains from every type of communication with the outside world even by talking or body gestures.

Kejriwal has not disclosed the place where he will do his Vipassana meditation. In the past, he has undergone Vipassana meditation sessions in Dharamkot, Nagpur, and Bengaluru.

The AAP chief is expected to calm up his mind through Vipassana after the hectic political campaign for Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh assembly polls, and MCD elections in the recent past.
