Asian Games 2023: Indian Shooters Set World Record, Clinch Gold In 10m Air Rifle Team Event

New Delhi: India won a historic gold medal at the Asian Games in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event. The win ensured India’s first gold medal in Asian Games 2023, Hangzhou. Apart from this the Indian trio of Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar registered a score of 1893.7 points, shattering the world record in the process. Earlier the previous record was set by China at the Baku World Championship.

On the other hand, Indias Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar bagged the bronze medal in India’s 10m men’s rifle final individual event.

The silver medal was bagged by South Korea, with a total of 1890.1 points. The host China fell way behind to secure the bronze with 1888.2 points. This is India’s first gold in the Asian Games Hangzhou. So far India has won seven medals at the ongoing Asian Games, consisting of one gold, three silver, and three bronze.
