Wild Elephant Tramples 2 Men to Death in Separate Incidents in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: An aged person was trampled to death by a stray wild elephant at Timana village under the Badagaon Forest Range in Sundargarh district in the wee hours on Monday.

According to Bipin Toppo, the son of the deceased, his elderly father was sleeping in his room, when he faced the wild pachyderm attack.

The elephant broke the wall of their house and dragged away the aged person with its trunk. Hearing his cry for help, villagers rushed to the spot, but could not rescue the man from the clutches of the wild elephant.

The wild elephant crushed the ill-fated man.

Although the victim was rushed to the nearby medical centre, he could not be saved.

As per reports, another person was killed and a woman was seriously injured in an elephant attack at Tangargaon village in Sundargarh district on Sunday night.
