Balasore to have New ESI Hospital

Bhubaneswar: Balasore district of Odisha will have a new ESI hospital. The ESI Corporation has decided to establish a new hospital in the Balasore district. The ESI Corporation took the decision on Tuesday at its 190th meeting held in Chandigarh.

Apart from Balasore in Odisha, ESIC will also set up new hospitals Belagavi in Karnataka, Shamshabad in Telangana, Baramati in Maharashtra, Kishangarh and Ajmer in Rajasthan, Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bhupender Yadav through a Twitter post said, “The 190th meeting of ESI Corporation in Chandigarh took some important decisions to strengthen social security for India’s Shram Jeevis, furthering PM Narendra Modiji’s vision.”

It was also decided to continue providing financial support to the North Eastern states and Sikkim for implementing the ESI scheme said Yadav in another Twitter post.
