Balasore Train Accident: CM Naveen Patnaik Announces Ex-Gratia Of Rs 5 Lakh To Each Family Of Deceased

Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the deceased who died in Balasore train accident on Friday.

Reportedly, CM has also announced that those who sustained serious injuries will get Rs 1 lakh as assistance.

The Chief Minister has also conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved families and wishes speedy recovery of the injured.

Worth mentioning that the incident occurred when one of the coaches derailed, leading to a collision involving three trains on Friday night. The two express trains involved were the Bengaluru-Howrah Express and the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express, along with a goods train.
