Over 50 Fall Ill After Consuming ‘Ice Creams’ In Koraput

Koraput: Over 50 persons fell ill hours after they consumed ice creams in three villages of Koraput district on Saturday.

According to reports, the residents of three villages namely Badaliguda, Ghataguda and Dudhari complained of uneasiness and showed symptoms like nausea and vomiting. Following this, they were admitted to Sunabeda, Damanjodi, Dudhari, Kundli and Mathalput hospitals.

Budhari Sarpanch said, “All the women and children had consumed ice creams and later we had to rush them to the hospital after they complained of illness.”

The Sarpanch further demanded an investigation into the alleged sale of spurious ice creams.
