Balasore Train Crash: Death Toll Rise To 288, Over 1,175 Injured

Balasore: The death toll rose to 288 while over 1175 were injured in the tragic triple train accident in Balasore, Odisha.

The incident occurred when one of the coaches derailed, leading to a collision involving three trains on Friday night. The two express trains involved were the Bengaluru-Howrah Express and the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express, along with a goods train.

Rescue operations are currently underway, with various emergency response teams deployed to the scene. Three National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) units, four Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force units, over 15 fire rescue teams, 30 doctors, 200 police personnel, and 60 ambulances have been mobilized to provide assistance.
