New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Central Vista Avenue from Vijay Chowk to India Gate on the 8th of this month. That is why traffic restrictions have been imposed in various areas of central Delhi. Ministries and departments have been asked to issue directives to non-essential employees on Thursday to stay home and to use public transport instead of private vehicles for most employees.
Also, the Delhi Police has asked to close the offices after lunch. A large number of VIPs are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony to be held at C-Hexagon. For their safety, traffic on various roads will be closed from 6 pm to 9 pm on the 8th. People will not be allowed to enter between India Gate and Mansingh Road on that day. Heavy police and security forces will be deployed on Central Vista Avenue.
