CNG Cylinder Leak Near Puri; Residents Panicked

Puri: A gas cylinder of GAIL India Limited loaded on a truck started leaking suddenly in the Malatipatapur area of Odisha’s Puri district on Monday. The incident has created panic among the residents of the area.

According to sources, a truck loaded with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinders was en route to Puri from Bhubaneswar.

While on their way to the destination, the truck driver and helper noticed a leakage in the cylinder near Malatipatapur over the bridge.

The driver of the truck immediately informed the matter to the concerned authorities and the Puri Fire Services team.

On being informed, teams from GAIL India and Puri Fire Services rushed to the spot and took necessary steps to avoid further leakage of the cylinder.
