Delhi Liquor Policy Case: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Summoned by CBI on Sunday

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Supremo Arvind Kejriwal on April 16 to question him in the liquor excise policy case.

Earlier, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody was extended by two weeks in the liquor policy case by a Delhi court on Monday. This case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The CBI produced Sisodia in court and sought an extension of his judicial custody. The court sent the AAP leader to judicial remand till April 17.

AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said the party will move the Delhi High Court after Sisodia was denied bail in the excise policy scam case.

The CBI on February 26 arrested Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Sisodia on March 9 in Tihar jail.
