Ditched in Extramarital Affair, Man Kills Girlfriend’s brother And Hacks her Father in Jajpur

Jajpur: A man involved in an extramarital affair with a girl allegedly killed her brother and hacked her father in Jajpur. The case has come to the fore from Tarini Chhak under Kaliapani police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

The accused was identified as Santanu.

According to the sources, the accused was having an extramarital affair with the daughter of the injured victim Santosh Mohapatra. However, the girl’s family opposed the relationship as Santanu was married.

The opposition to marriage led to disputes between the accused and the girl’s family.

Santosh and his son Jitendra were at their shop when Santanu attacked Jitendra with a billhook. While trying to save his son, Santosh was also injured.

Both the victims sustained critical injuries. They were rescued by locals and rushed to the Sukinda Hospital.

Jitendra was declared dead by the doctors. Santosh is undergoing treatment where his condition is stated to be critical.

After receiving information about the incident, police detained the accused for interrogation.
