Driver Burnt Alive as Truck Catches Fire After it Turns Turtle

Sambalpur: The driver of a truck was burnt alive when the vehicle turned turtle and caught fire after an accident on Rairakhol-Naktideul road in Odisha’s Sambalpur district. According to police sources, this accident occurred near Terabeda village.

Because of the accident, some electrical short circuits in the truck led to the burning of the truck. The driver of the ill-fated vehicle was stuck inside after the accident. So, he could not come out of the burning vehicle. Locals made all possible efforts to drag him out of the burning truck, but they could not save the driver.

Receiving information, fire service personnel reached the spot to douse the fire.

The charred corpse of the deceased driver was recovered from the burnt-down truck. His identity has not been ascertained. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
