Truck Driver Burnt Alive Following Accident in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A truck driver was burnt alive when the vehicle he was driving caught fire after colliding with another near on NH 49 near Meeuldiha village under Keonjhar Sadar police station limits in the wee hours of Friday.

Both trucks were on their way to Kolkata when one of them hit the other from the rear at around 4 am. The vehicle coming from behind caught fire following the collision.

The driver of the burning truck was trapped in the cabin and could not come out to save his life. He was charred by the blaze.

Personnel of Keonjhar Sadar police station and Fire Services rushed to the accident spot and managed to take out the burnt-down driver. He succumbed to his burn injuries while being transported to a hospital.
