Drunk Youth Hacks Father To Death In Puri

Puri: A drunk youth reportedly hacked his father to death at Shankanti village under Pipili police limits of the district.

The deceased was identified as Harekrushna Pradhan, of Shankanti village. The accused has been identified as Jitu Pradhan.

According to reports, the incident took place after Jitu Pradhan came home in an inebriated state. When his father questioned him, in a fit of rage and with the influence of alcohol, he took a sharp axe and hacked his father to death.

On being informed, Pipili police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.

Further investigation is underway.
