Elderly Woman Killed In Jumbo Attack In Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: An elderly woman was killed after being attacked by a wild elephant in Dahi Sahi under Baripada Rage in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Rani Naik (75) from the Lada Jod area of the district.

According to reports, the incident occurred while Rani had gone to a nearby jungle to collect saal leaves this morning when suddenly, an elephant appeared in front of her and trampled her to death.

Baripada Ranger Lakshmidhar Behera said that Rani had died on the spot.
