Flight Services Between Rourkela & Bhubaneswar from Jan 7

Bhubaneswar: Commercial flight services between Rourkela and Bhubaneswar are likely to start from January 7.

According to sources,  all preparations are completed for flight operations. The trial run of a plane was undertaken on the airport runway at Rourkela on Friday.

Transport and Commerce Department Principal Secretary Usha Padhee, Chief Minister’s Special Secretary Vineel Krishna and senior Government officers of Sundargarh district were present during the trial run.

Officers also inspected the runway and airport terminal.

After the trial run, Rourkela Additional District Collector Dr Subhankar Mohapatra told the media that flying a commercial plane is likely to begin on January 7, 2023.
