UN General Assembly Approves $3.396 Billion Regular Budget

New York: The UN General Assembly has approved a $3.396 billion annual regular budget.

According to the reports, the 2023 budget is higher than the $3.122 billion allocated for 2022.

In addition to political affairs, international justice and law, regional development cooperation, human rights and humanitarian issues, and public communication, the regular budget also includes the work of the UN in other fields.

The global body also has its own peacekeeping budget, with a fiscal year that ends on June 30.

The regular budget covers the calendar year.
