Floating Bridge for Tourists Planned at Puri Sea Beach

Puri: In the near future, tourists will now walk on the sea waves at Puri beach. A floating bridge would be set up at Puri beach to provide an added attraction to the tourists coming to this abode of Lord Jagannath. It will provide riding the wave experience to the visitors. Tourists will be able to feel the sea waves while they walk inside the sea on this floating bridge.

The Water Sports Committee chaired by the Puri district collector has approved this project, which is expected to come up at Sipasarubali beach on the Puri coast. A private company has proposed to spend Rs 30 crore for this floating bridge project at Puri beach.

Apart from it, Puri sea beach is also going to provide facilities for other water sports like jet-ski, surfing, parasailing, water skating, scuba diving etc.

According to sources, these projects are expected to come up at Puri beach by 2023. Work on them will start only after acquiring the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned authorities.
