Girl Smuggles Rs 1 Cr Gold Hidden in Under Garments; Arrested by Customs

Kozhikode: A 19-year-old girl involved in the smuggling of Rs 1 crore worth of gold in her undergarments was arrested at the Kozhikode in Kerala airport at late night on Sunday. She had arrived from Dubai.
A police team of Malappurram nabbed her outside the airport. She had managed to clear Customs at the airport.

Around 1,884 grams of gold worth Rs 1 crore was discovered from three packets attached to her inner garment.

A search of her luggage had brought no results. But her body examination revealed that she had hidden the smuggled gold in three packets attached to her undergarments.
An investigation is on to find out the racket that had used this young girl as a carrier for gold smuggling.
