Gyanvapi Masjid Case: Masjid Committee’s Plea Rejected By Varanasi Court

Varanasi: The plea filed by the Masjid committee challenging maintainability of the Ganyanvapi  Mosque case was rejected by the Varanasi court on Thursday.

Earlier, the court had postponed ist judgement on a plea seeking permission to allow the worship of a ‘Shivling’ claimed to be discovered inside the Gyanvapi Masjid complex.

The Muslim side has claimed that the said ‘Shivling’ was part of a fountain at the wazookhana, where ablutions are carried out before offering namaz.
