Honour Killing: Girl’s Family Kills Couple, Throws Body in Crocodile-Infested River in MP

Bhopal: An 18-year-old Shivani Tomar and her 21-year-old lover Radheshyam Tomar were shot dead by the family of Shivani in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. It was an incident of honour killing.

The bodies of the deceased were tied to heavy stones and were thrown into the crocodile-infested Chambal river.

This incident took place Ratanbasai village. The family of the girl was opposed to her relationship with Radheshyam.

Police started searching for the couple only when the father of the missing Radheshyam filed a complaint at a local police station. In his complaint, radheshyam’s father alleged that he suspected that his son and the girl were murdered.

Police investigation and interrogation of the girl’s family members revealed the gruesome honour-killing incident.

The woman’s family confessed that Shivani and Radheshyam were shot dead on June 3. Their bodies were tied to heavy stones and thrown into the crocodile infested Chambal river.

Police could retrieve the bodies.
