Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express To Be Inaugurated By PM Modi Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to flag off the Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express at the Puri Railway Station tomorrow.

The inaugural run of the semi-high-speed train was earlier scheduled for May 15. However, it has now been rescheduled to May 18.

The trial run of the Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express had started on April 28.

The semi-high-speed train will cover a distance of 500 km between Puri and Howrah in around 5 hours and 30 minutes. With 14 AC chair car coaches and two executive AC chair car coaches, the Vande Bharat Express train can accommodate 1,128 passengers.

The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express is expected to have nine halts-Howrah, Haldia, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Khurda Road Junction, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri.
