Jharsuguda ByPoll: Naveen & Dharmendra to Lead High Voltage Campaign War on May 7

Bhubaneswar: Campaigning for the upcoming byelection to the Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency will witness high voltage campaign war on May 7 as BJD supremo and CM Naveen Patnaik and senior BJP leader and Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan will campaign for their respective party candidates on that day.

Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to attend a public meeting in Jharsuguda block in support of the BJD candidate Dipali Das, daughter of late Odisha minister Naba Kishore Das. In the past, his campaigns in the last phase have helped the BJD in wooing voters.

Dharmendra Pradhan is likely to campaign and conduct roadshow for BJP candidate Tankadhar Tripathy. During his campaign, the Union minister is likely to take up the issue of the ‘deteriorated law and order situation’ and ‘lack of development’ in the constituency to target the ruling BJD.

Polling for the Jharsuguda byelection will be held on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.

Jharsuguda bypoll is being held following the murder of the then sitting MLA and state health minister Naba Kishore Das on January 29, 2023.
