Justice Subhasis Talapatra Next CJ of Orissa HC, Supreme Court Collegium Recommends His Name

Cuttack: The name of Justice Subhasis Talapatra has been recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium as the next Chief Justice of the High Court of Orissa.

On November 15, 2011, Justice Talapatra joined as a judge of the Gauhati High Court. Following the establishment of a separate High Court of Tripura in 2013, he opted for the High Court of Tripura as his parent High Court.

On June 10, 2022, he took oath as a judge of the Orissa High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium headed by CJI Justice DY Chandrachud also recommended the appointment of Chief Justices for Kerala, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Bombay, Telangana, and Gujarat High Courts.
