Man Commits Suicide After Wife’s Death in Fire Accident in Sundargarh District

Sundergarh: Distressed over the death of his wife, a 35-year-old man ended his life by hanging himself at Zero Point area in Tensa under Koira police station limits in Sundergarh district on Saturday.

The deceased identified as Nandalal Champia was mentally stressed following the death of his wife Jinse Kandulana three days back.

Nandalal and Jines got married two years back and had a four-month-old baby girl. Three days back on March 20, Jines died of burn injuries at a hospital in Rourkela. She was under treatment for serious burn injuries that she had recived when her when her saree caught fire.

Three days after his wife’s death, Nandalal hanged himself leaving behind his four-month-old daughter all alone in the house.

On Saturday evening, he hanged himself to a tree behind his home after making his infant son sleep inside house.
