Man Dies After Falling Into Drain During New Year Celebration

Angul: A 55-year-old man died after falling into a drain during New Year Celebration. The incident has come to the fore from Pokatunga village in Odisha’s Angul district. He fell into the drain last night and his body was found today morning.

The deceased was identified as Mangulu Gochhayat.

According to sources, Mangulu had participated in a feast which was organised in the locality yesterday on the occasion of the New Year. He consumed liquor during the celebration.

Reportedly, while returning home, he fell into a drain and drowned.

After receiving the information, police reached the spot, recovered it for post-mortem and started to probe.
