Man Kills Mother-in-Law in AP for Encouraging His Wife to Divorce Him

Vijayawada: A man named Rajesh (37) murdered his mother-in-law on a flyover in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday night. He alleged that the deceased Nagamani (47) was encouraging his wife to divorce him. A divorce petition is pending before the court

According to police sources, the accused hacked his mother-in-law to death on the Chanumolu Venkata Rao flyover of Vijayawada at around 9 pm on Saturday.

According to police sources, Rajesh suspected that Nagamani allegedly had influenced her daughter to file the divorce petition. He brutally attacked her with a billhook used to cut green coconuts and killed her on the spot.

Rajesh, who is a door-to-door salesman, absconded after committing the murder. He is now booked under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. A search operation is on to nab him.
