Man Posing CHSE Employee Held For Duping Students To Pass Exam

Bhubaneswar: Police have arrested a man for allegedly duping hundreds of Plus 2 students in Balasore and Bhadrak districts on the pretext of helping them pass the annual examination.

Reportedly, the matter came to the fore the students and the guardians lodged a complaint about the incident at Balasore Industrial police station.

According to reports, the accused used to introduce himself as a senior employee of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to the students and their guardians.

Later, he promised to help them clear Plus 2 examination and took more than Rs 10,000 from each candidate.

Acting on the complaint, the cops laid a trap and nabbed the fraudster when the fraudster called the candidates to the Biju Patnaik Park to have a deal. The officials also seized a car, some gold ornaments, eight debit cards and Rs 60,000 from his possession.

Further investigation is underway in this regard.
